 Here's my unabashed disclaimer - I have no authority in this game, I'm just a dirt bag who loves to knit. This stocking stuffer list is composed of items that I have loved and I wanted to show you all what they look like using links from the shops that I normally frequent. Although I must come clean - at the moment I frequent these shops through the interweb...I don't want to spread these cooties. 

Also I may or may not be making this in hopes that the man who signed up to be my Santa Claus two years ago (*cough* partner *cough*) finds it and makes a good decision.

Books - 

  1. For the knitter who was just introduced to color work and is going on a colorwork kick
  2. For the curious knitter (new or vet) who needs to have a reference book of all the things.
    • This book is more for the knitter who is wants to explore different stitch designs. Highly recommended for the knitter who wants to start making their patterns.
  • Who am I to judge, I am literally that knitter *as I try to prevent my closet door from bursting at the seems with dyeing cookware*. 


Self-care items - 

  1. For the times that you literally put in your all into a project.
  2. For those awfully dry hands.
  3. For the smelly young thang in your life.


Wool Care items - 

  1. Special soap for their babies (aka their knitted projects)
  2. For the knitter who already has a bottle but needs a replacement.
  3. For the knitter who want's all the smells but who also needs compact packs.

My dad would always say that money and worldly possessions were not important because we would not be able to take them with us as we crossed to the “other side.” As a planner this idea was something that I couldn’t come to terms with because if I couldn’t take my stuff with me, I would want someone else to have it. But who?  Surely there is someone else that would value my interchangeable needles or the mohair that I saved for that special pattern that never was, right? A Dirtbag Bougie Knitter with anything BUT dainty hands.

I have NEVER had small dainty hands. I’ve been blessed with strong, basketball groping, orange peeling, blueberry pickin’ hands.  And it’s because of these hands that I have to share my misadventures with some of my tools.  I will never claim that I am easy on my tools, but I am also not actively trying to wreck my stuff. I have had needles in my stash that have withstood the weight of many sweaters, apartment moves, even partners…point is they have stuck around!  Like most, I have used clover bamboo needles for most of my knitting career (thanks Joann) and I only had issues with splinters at the tips due to wear and tear. But other than that they were good needles for me. But despite my fond memories I made the decision that I was not going to continue using bamboo needles because they were not slick enough.  Since I had some extra cash I graduated to stainless steel and had nooo issues. But then I saw that companies were making more wooden needles that were NOT bam...

*Quit your love for the noose*   "Are you surprised?"  That's all I hear.  I watch them run- yell, "hold my beer"  We saw them mob,  They broke the glass.  All in support -  of that dumbass  They ran to guns -  With will to fight.  All with no Fear -  Because they were WHITE.  We all just watched-  In great disbelief -  Of that red coup,  Egged on by the "chief"  They post online -  "That's BLM!"  "Recount the vote"  My, what a gem.  Do not deflect,  We fought for lives.  Not for a "man"  (who) in chaos thrives.  Just drop the cup,  Don't drink the Juice.  And quit that love,  For that damn noose.
